In this collection, surfaces are distressed and glazes are used for more antiqued and aged appearances. Dye type stains are also used to accentuate the wood and all exterior surfaces are protected with durable furniture sealers to resist water. These pieces are hand made from solid wood and more substantial as compared to most name brand furniture; tables are planked; backs, drawers, moldings and shelving are solid; drawers are dovetailed and doors are thicker to reduce rattling. This is not "manufactured" looking furniture and blemishes or imperfections are not covered up but rather included as part of the finish; we say "blessed with nature's perfect imperfections". This look was designed for antique lovers and casual environments. Expect slight variations. The pine wood used is very dense and knot free compared to USA species and is often compared to maple or alder.
